Nagima, the mother of Chinghiz Aitmatov

The Foundation named after the mother of Ch. Aitmatov was founded in October 2003. Our foundation helps the orphanage in the village of Belovodskoye, the Tilebaliyeva boarding school in Kara-Balta, the women’s colony in Bishkek, and the nursing homes in Krasnaya Rechka. We will continue to make efforts to protect the rights of migrants, the rights of youth, and children with disabilities (PWD/CWD). We express our special gratitude to the chairman and deputies of the Kyzyl-Kyshtak Aiyl Okmotu of the Osh Region for their assistance with the Osh project. In honor of the 100th anniversary of Chinghiz Aitmatov, we plan to build a museum and erect monuments to the great writer Chinghiz Aitmatov and his mother Naghima Aitmatova in the city of Osh, as well as build a rehabilitation center and a township for the low-income on a 3.3-hectare plot of land allocated to us by the Kyzyl-Kyshtak aiyl okmotu.
Implementation of the Rehabilitation Center project in the city of Osh

The construction of a modern rehabilitation center on an area of 3.3 hectares, which will house:
- A school for children with disabilities
- A medical center consisting of 150 highly qualified doctors
- A township for low-income families
- The Chinghiz Aitmatov Museum
As part of the project, $70 million is being attracted ($30 million for the township, $40 million for the rehabilitation center).
The project will provide jobs for more than 300 people, involving highly qualified teachers in the fields of world languages, exact sciences, and IT specialists to prepare students in demand by prestigious international organizations and companies.

The foundation plans to provide nursing homes in need with food, clothing, bedding, medicine, and office equipment, as well as assist with treatment in the health sanatoriums of our Republic. The foundation has more than 4,560 people registered (widows, orphans, disabled individuals, children with disabilities, etc.). For more than 20 years, the foundation has existed and provided charitable and humanitarian aid thanks to people who care about other people’s grief and need.
Currently, we are being helped by investors from Iran, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
Charity
In 2019, charitable campaigns aimed at helping those in need were held in the city of Osh. Gifts were presented at the “Booruker” nursing home. Assistance was also provided at the “Altyn-Uya” orphanage, including clothing and gifts. The children’s rehabilitation orphanage also received assistance. These charitable campaigns have been conducted for many years and cover various places where help is needed.
